Our Background

The program was established in 2019 and became non-profit status in 2023. Team Wilder’s mission is to create a supportive environment where young athletes can learn, grow, and thrive, both on and off the court. We teach and mentor confidence, commitment, and responsibility through high-level basketball training and development. We exist to provide a space for kids to play basketball and to grow while being realistic about what’s possible for them in the sport. By building them up, our youth learn that there is more to life than simply basketball. We are building a local program that supports development, growth, and new experiences that help our youth focus on their purpose, values, and long-term goals.

Our program offers AAU competitive teams for boys and girls, with teams for girls ranging from 5th through 12th grade and boys from 4th through 8th grade, with plans to add 9th through 12th grade for boys by 2026. Team Wilder also provides development teams for beginner and intermediate skill players.
